When I was in my early 20's (now almost 40) Denver was absolutely "Menver", there were times when my friends and I were the only women in a bar. I no longer hang out at bars, so I can't speak to them, but I agree, other places (restaurants, parks, trails, etc) do seem to be pretty female heavy now.

This issue has been discussed before, and I have given my comments on it before. The OP didn't put much effort into the question, so I will just update what I said previously.... I think that the adults that have moved to Denver since early 2014 primarily for the legal MJ are probably 2-1 male/female. Granted this is a unknown quantity, and certainly a minority of the people moving to Denver, but I think it is enough to further effect the pre existing ratio, which by the way can be determined from 2010 census data for someone with a little bit of motivation.

Vincerusso: There are several threads on this (I've read a bunch of them). From what I've read here, the people seem to say the venue matters most. If you go to a sports bar or a Rush concert, prepare for a sword fight. But as blondmoray said, it feels different at parks, trails, and stuff. I do not live in Denver; this is only what I've read here. So it might not be accurate.

The ratio is pretty even but what you might want to ask is what the heterosexual ratio is...

I'm not joking here...just because someone is one sex doesn't mean they're competing with you for the opposite sex.

As someone mentioned, venue plays a big part too!

As an anecdotal aside, when I drove a cab in Vegas I would pick up groups of males from the Hooters hotel complaining of the lack of women around...DUH! It's freakin' Hooters!
I'd tell them to check the Chippendale's schedule at the Rio and hang out at the various lounges there at least a half hour before the shows let out! THAT'S where the all worked up women will be! LOL

I always joked that I was going to start taking pole dancing classes so I could meet a stripper BEFORE her head swelled up!

Think outside the box folks! Think of the type of person you want to meet and find activities that THEY would be doing...
