That's the one I would have thought of!
Rocky Mountain Way.

Did anyone say Big Head Todd and the Monsters?

Or Willie for that matter. What was Willies favorite song? Taxman?

"The Way Things Shouldn't Be" by Monte Montgomery is about life on the road; it mentions Colorado and Telluride. It's a gorgeous song with great lyrics.

I lost my breath in Colorado
And I'm looking for it still
Through tobacco colored bottles
That contain all my will

"Colorado" written by Rick Roberts, first recorded by The Flying Burrito Brothers (when he was a member),

then made more popular when Linda Ronstadt covered it.

Even though it's an old one and more of an abstract view, I always think of the natural beauty of the state I call home with Beethoven's 6th- 1st movement specifically. If I play this on a Summer morning, tends to make me think of the rolling hills/mountainous areas. Fitting I guess after all, the Ludwig van (so I read) wrote much of his music outside. Also Zep's "That's the Way."

I Know You Rider by The Grateful Dead

I wish I was a headlight, on a North bound train;
I'd shine my light through cool Colorado rain.

Anything Widespread Panic. Colorado is the band's unofficial second home and they are the undisputed kings of Red Rocks playing more shows and more sellouts there than anyone else.
