Looking at a home that is at the intersection of 470 and 285. I just found the Jeffco crime mapping website. " + theTitle + " (http://archie.co.jefferson.co.us/website/jcpub_crime/viewer.htm - broken link)

Within a 2 mile radius over the past year there have been 959 different crimes in the area.
AGGRAVATED MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT - FELONY14ARSON - FELONY1ARSON - MISDEMEANOR1ASSAULT - FELONY21ASSAULT - MISDEMEANOR65BURGLARY - COMMERCIAL17BURGLARY - RESIDENTIAL40DRUGS (DATA CONVERTED FROM SHR400)2DRUGS - FELONY11DRUGS - MISDEMEANOR64FAMILY RELATIONS - FELONY2FAMILY RELATIONS - MISDEMEANOR22FORGERY - FELONY3FRAUD - FELONY56FRAUD - MISDEMEANOR3GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS - FELONY3GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS - MISDEMEANOR6KIDNAPPING - FELONY1KIDNAPPING - MISDEMEANOR1MISCHIEF - FELONY14MISCHIEF - MISDEMEANOR106MORALS - MISDEMEANOR5PROPERTY CRIME - FELONY1PROPERTY CRIME - MISDEMEANOR118PUBLIC PEACE & ORDER - MISDEMEANOR114ROBBERY6THEFT - FELONY20THEFT - MISDEMEANOR142TRESPASS - DWELLING6TRESPASS - VEHICLE71UNLAWFUL SEXUAL BEHAVIOR - FELONY18UNLAWFUL SEXUAL BEHAVIOR - MISDEMEANOR2WEAPONS - FELONY1WEAPONS - MISDEMEANOR2Grand Total: 959

Then I pull up a totally different neighboorhood I have been looking at in Arvada. Just near the Super Target off of Kippling and 70 and 166 crimes come up.

--------- S U M M A R Y ---------No. of OccurrencesASSAULT - FELONY1ASSAULT - MISDEMEANOR3BURGLARY - COMMERCIAL7BURGLARY - RESIDENTIAL20DRUGS (DATA CONVERTED FROM SHR400)43DRUGS - FELONY4DRUGS - MISDEMEANOR14FAMILY RELATIONS - MISDEMEANOR3FRAUD - FELONY4GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS - FELONY1GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS - MISDEMEANOR2MISCHIEF - MISDEMEANOR9PROPERTY CRIME - FELONY1PROPERTY CRIME - MISDEMEANOR8PUBLIC PEACE & ORDER - FELONY1PUBLIC PEACE & ORDER - MISDEMEANOR10THEFT - FELONY3THEFT - MISDEMEANOR9TRESPASS - DWELLING3TRESPASS - VEHICLE18UNLAWFUL SEXUAL BEHAVIOR - FELONY1WEAPONS - FELONY1Grand Total: 166

It seems like the area in Morrison at 285 and 470 is no better than Detroit minus the murders.

I visited the Morrsion location several times and it seems like a nice place. I guess with D'Evelyn Jr-Sr high across the street stuff happens.

Can somebody help put this in persepective?

what year are we talking about?

I gonna take a wild guess that Red Rocks & Bandamere Speedway have a lot to do with that.

From now to one year ago. All of the crime was in the SE corner of 470/285. Bandamere and Red Rocks was out the scope of this search.

Here are the two screen shots....

Im thinking that this is more of the area over by quincy and 470 since that is the closest neighborhood to that location. If you have ever driven in that area it is fairly run down. The car in the lawn on concrete block types

It's not the racers - it's the alcohol.

Morisson can get a little crazy after concerts at Red Rocks, but I've never considered it unsafe. Just drive slowly through the town especially at night on weekends or the cops will pull you over.
