Cliffs :
Moving to Denver ~ beginning of November
Working at Littleton (near Waterton)
Commute < 30 min
Single, Male, 26 active outdoors (hope to snowboard > 40 times this season)
Looking to buy Townhome/Condo/Loft ( < $300k, 2+/2+)
Where ?

I searched the forums, and some mentioned Capitol Hill or LoDo (can't afford LoDo)... My old boss, who used to live there said to checkout Evergreen or Golden (he said burbs are more fun than downtown), however I've only been to Denver once (golden), and he's in his 50's. Any one around my age (25-30) recommend a place ?
I'm gonna have housing for 1 month, so I'll have time to look around, but I just wanted to get some tips on neighborhoods before I get there..
Thanks!

I'm guessing you mean you'll be working down on the south west side near Waterton Canyon? (Lockheed or something?). If that's the case I'll just throw out some names of development areas I'm familiar with since I'm not familiar with how much they cost. But just north is Trailmark, just to the south/east is Roxborough Village. Besides Highlands Ranch, there's Ken Caryl (but I think that might be out of the price range). I think there's also some townhomes/condos just east of Kipling off of W. Chatfield Ave and some exteriorly nicer (never been in either) off of W. Remington Place (just south of Charfield Ave).

Hope some of that helps, I'm sure others will chime in with more info.

To keep your commute at less than 30 minutes, stay as close to work as possible. Capitol Hill or LoDo are out of that realm, especially during commute time. I'm sure you could find a condo/townhome or even a house in your price range near work. You could always go find the nightlife when you aren't working.

Since you are looking to snowboard 40+ times per season, stay in the C-470 corridor (SW side of Metro Denver), at the very least that would save you a terrible commute to work, and the need to drive through the more urbanized parts of Metro Denver on the way up to the mountains.

I'd check into Roxborough, Trailmark & south jeffco - Redstone is the condo community at Kipling & C-470 - there are many townhome communities to be found - some gated.

Maybe a patio home?

some patio homes (where the HOA takes care of the landscaping) are the same size as townhomes, but do not have any shared walls.
