So it seems I've exhausted most of my resources down this way. I've been to most of the furniture stores in Colorado Springs AND Pueblo and I can't say I'm totally satisfied.

We're looking for a king size 4 poster bed or canopy bed that's got a deep, dark, rich look to it and solid construction. And of course the furniture set to accompany it. We're looking to spend between $2000-$3000 for a bed, 2 nightstands, dresser and mirror....and if we can get the chest at a reasonable price we'll take that too.

So far what we've found is overpriced furniture or really crappy quality...and very little of what we're actually looking for to begin with. I had looked at an AICO set (more for an idea of where pricing started at one store....and they were $2500 over what I could buy it online for....granted above our price range anyhow)

So, we're headed up to Denver tomorrow for a while and was wondering if there's anything up that way that might have what we're looking for? Obviously we aren't looking for top-of-the-line furniture like AICO brand, but something quality. American Furniture Warehouse has been very hit or miss w/ us in all 3 of the stores we've been into in the past weeks, but if there is another warehouse type store in the area we'd be interested in looking there also.

Any suggestions for stores that are going to be open on a Sunday are appreciated....or even if they aren't open tomorrow because I can always make another trip up in the coming weeks. Thanks!

I'd say for quality, try Woodley's or Kacey furniture. The Kacey furniture in Lakewood now carries Thomasville furniture. I'm not sure if they'll be in your price range, but we have gotten all of our furniture from these two stores. American Furniture Warehouse does not really carry quality furniture in my opinion. We were unimpressed and walked out of that store empty handed many times. I'm not sure if that helps, but good luck!

We found all of our furniture at the Broyhill Home Furnishings store in Denver. They are all great quality and slightly expensive (though you get what you pay for). I didn't like anything at American Furniture Warehouse...everything there seemed like late 1980's pieces. I believe Broyhill is on Colfax, not too far from the UCH campus. It's in a less-than-nice area, but the people are very helpful and I cannot be more pleased with our pieces. You can probably Google Broyhill and look for their location to give you an exact map. You won't be sorry.
