I'm looking for a CHEAP apartment in Denver. Between 450-550. Obviously I'm not going to find the best apartment in the world but I'm low on cash.

Does anyone have any recommendations that aren't too bad?

So far I've looked at Cherry Point, Cypress Point, and Britannia Heights.

It has to be in Denver because I go to Metro State so I want to be relatively close to school and I work at Carmines on Penn and at being a nanny around 24th and race so I want to be close to work and school.

Oh and I also want them to be pet friendly I'm either going to take my cat or dog, I have a Bichon so she's pretty small.

Thanks

You can find that in Capitol Hill or uptown, but it will be in a great apartment. There are a lot of old apartments in Denver that you can find rent at that price. However, you better be looking for a studio.

Anyways, Cherry Creek? Come on. When you are looking for a apartment at less than 550, you got to figure Cherry Creek is out of the list. Capitol Hill, and Uptown will be close to metro, and considering that you are young, you will have more fun.

Consider roommates. You can get a much nicer place at a lower cost. Just go to craigslist.

Default these apartments are abundant

Yeah, just check craigslist and look thru the newspaper. There's lots of apts very close to Metro/downtown in this range. But, be selective since it's hit and miss. Just walk or bike or drive around the neighborhood you want to be in, take down the #s of the apts with rental signs and make some calls. You should be able to find something for <550 (that means less than $550 US.). Anywhere on the east-west axis of say 10th street might fit perfectly. For sure the farther off colfax the better (unless you need bus access), but evaluate each place on it's own merits.
