I have been planning a move to Denver for quite a while but have another year of school to go before I can make the permanent move. I will, however, be working in Denver this summer from the beginning of June through early August and need to find a place to stay. I am looking for short-term furnished housing (possibly a sublet) and was wondering if anyone on this forum has any advice.

I am a single male in my mid 20s and will be working near the Tabor Center. I would like to stay in the city both to make the commute quick and so I can get a better feel for Denver while I am there. I have been checking Craig’s list and some other websites, but didn’t know if there were other resources specific to Denver that I should be aware of. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your responses.

Colby,

We just moved here from DC and are living in a fully furnished, short term condo in the tech center. We got ours through a company called Avenue West, and they have been great to work with. They have locations all over Denver metro.

We looked pretty hard and didn't find a lot of other options.

I have no affiliation with the company.

Good luck.

rburtoncpa,

Thank you for the suggestion. I will check that out.

I guess I should also mention that I am trying to spend less than $1,000 per month. I just need a studio or a one bedroom.

Sir, after a month or two, would REALLY appreciate if you would post some thoughts on how its going, how it's better or worse than life back in DC.

Mike,

I'll be happy to do that, although I must warn that we will sound like Chamber of Commerce reps. We hated DC after two years there, and we absolutely love Denver.

I'll start a new thread soon about our experiences here.

I have spent some time in DC and would also be interested in hearing your thoughts about a comparison with Denver.

Anyone else have thoughts on furnished short term housing resources?
