I am new to the Denver area and do not know very many people. What are things that I could do by myself slash where are great places to meet good, fun people?

oh yeah, and check out the web site meetup.com. You can find groups that enjoy doing a wide variety of things that you can go to and meet people. It also helps with learning about what's available to do around here too.

Catch some Christmas cheer! Great lights downtown...Union Station and the State building are wonderful! Zoo lights sound wonderful too! I have not seen them yet but I am going!

Thanks for all the response, thats all helpful. I am 23, just moved here from Connecticut. I love being around people and very friendly and outgoing and love sports. I feel like this is a personal ad lol.

We could translate to Craigslist if you need ;-) j/k Welcome to Denver. You'll find you're definitely not alone from the east coast. (I'm from Jersey originally and there's tons of other transplants). You'll also see it's not hard meeting people who also love sports (whether your translation of 'loving sports' is watching or playing or both). Sometimes I wonder if half the people that go to the Rockies games go because their original home team is playing their new hometeam.... especially when it's against the Red Sox.... there seems to be a lot of Bostonians that show up for those games
