Yes, very sad to see it go. Dozens across the country did the same earlier this week.

My questions to everyone who says they can get the news on the Internet is:

1: most of the sources are from the papers and if they go so do your sources

2.: That's great for national news but so far I cant find any place better then the local news paper for local news.

I thought most of the sources were from the AP, and beyond that I search spots like Drudge Report which pulls from a multitude of sources. Really, gone are the days tha twe can only receive news from the Post. But still, sad to see it go. Truly Americana.

As for local news, there is the Denver Daily and Westword just off the top of my head. Oh and Denver Business Journal.

I'm sad to hear this. I always liked the shape of the paper version of the RMN, well, for the past two years that I've lived here. I'm hoping someone will buy the assets and revive it somehow in an online-only format.

I don't hate the Denver Post, but I don't like it as much and wouldn't bother subscribing to it.

I'd much rather it be the Denver Post that was going out of business. The Rocky Mountain News was the rare paper that seemed somewhat balanced.

I'll miss'em.
