Gotta shout out to all my fellow librarians and clerks in Denver. Thank you for all of your hard work. It can be tough working with the public sometimes...we love you!

Stop by your local library today and give them thanks. And check out a free book or movie too.

Tuesday, April 14 - National Library Worker Appreciation Day
All Denver Public Library Locations
Mayor John Hickenlooper and other elected officials have been asked to stop by any Denver branch location to thank staff for their hard work.

Librarians are cool, right up there with teachers, nurses and good mommies - people who care about and help OTHERS.

Thank you Librarians! I love those I visit and I have not had to buy a book, CD or DVD in years as I can check them out for free! Denver's public libraries are incredible and their systems are tied into the universities and colleges in Colorado, so I can check out other library systems and borrow from them as well!

Yup, yup. With Interlibrary loan, you can get most CDs, movies, books, research articles from anywhere in the country. You just have to plan ahead a little. It's difficult to bring rare books & documents, because their usually held in archives or genealogy libraries.

Also tough is getting those new or hot bestselling titles. But if you like an author, you can get on the hold list long before the book is out.

There are many secrets....shhhhhhh....!
