Thanks to everyone who has answered the myriad of questions I have had over the last six months. I just have one more-- are there any pet licensing requirements or anything related to owning a pet. I have searched by county and by city not finding anything. Wish us luck, I get to drive a 26 foot moving truck up from Albuquerque. Yeah and I am blessed with a lead foot--funtimes!

No worries. They have a governer on them - peddle to the floor you'll only hit about 70 mph. We just drove one from Denver to S. TX. The fun part comes going uphill...at 45 mph.

I'm new to the area.. but I did find this on the Douglas county website...

Dog Licensing: Every owner within the County shall obtain and maintain a current rabies certificate and tag issued by a licensed veterinarian for each dog that he or she owns after the dog is four months old. Each dog must possess a current certificate and tag by the time the dog is five months old, or within one month of being brought into the County if the dog is over five months old. Every dog required to have a tag shall wear its tag at all times. The tag shall be the County license and no other license is required. For additional information call Animal Control at 303.660.7505. Valgal, you didn't say if you have cats, but if you do, please plan to keep them indoors. We have coyotes, fox, hawks, etc that can injure cats.

Good to know those vans go faster than 40 MPH, everytime I thought about that I got a nervous tick. hee hee

No cats, just a pug. Thank you for your help, sounds like I have a 1 month grace period to get her shot here instead of trying to squeeze it in there before we move.

Thanks for the Coyote warning-- back in 1992, when we first moved to NM, no one told us and we lost two really cool cats. In San Antonio, you can have an indoor/outdoor cat.
