I will be moving to Denver for DU Law School in about 2 weeks. I want to find a place that is fairly affordable, in a safe neighborhood, and not too far away from the school (does not have to be walking distance - a short commute would be fine). I have been looking online at different places but I am not sure what neighborhoods are actually safe and which places are actually nice (pictures can be deceiving). Going out to Denver to look beforehand is not an option so any help would be wonderful!!

PS I am looking for a one bedroom - no studios, if possible - and I will be living with my boyfriend.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

Most DU students live in the University, Platt Park, Rosedale, Wash Park West or University Hills neighborhoods. Of course if depends on what you mean by safe. There will be crime around but tese areas are relatively safe. Of course students live in these areas because they are cheap. If you can get into Wash Park or U Park or Cory-Merrill you will be in a safer area. Personally I would suggest the University neighborhood.

2bindenver,

That sounds like something we might be interested in. If you could include a link to pics and more information that would be great!! How far away from the school is it and how is the neighborhood?
