Glad you're enjoying it meemur. Sorry one of your friends picked IC instead of DM. DM is clearly the much better city, but if they have a job at UofI they may be perfectly happy in IC. If not... plan to help them relocate in a year or two. Congrats on the house.

As for my friend, she's in her mi- 40s and going back to school. She'll be renting there for awhile and will probably end up here. It's easier to visit with her in the same state! (:

I like IC. But I must admit it was nice not being in the middle of football traffic on Saturday. In Columbus, I had to plan my day around all the traffic and drunks.

How much water do you need? Saylorville Lake is 26,000 acres. It might be a little tight to launch an aircraft carrier, I guess, but it seems like plenty for skiing, tubing, fishing, etc.
