Its not just Dertoit... has anyone been to Downtown Flint recently? Things aren't so bad by the UofM but get off Kearsly and you may as well be in Detroit. I dont think its a problem with the City of Detroit alone ,I think its a symtom of the greater problem of our state, loss of labor jobs that pay a living wage.

Has anyone been to Flint recently? Downtown by the U of M campus ok , but get a block off Kearsly and you may as well be in Detroit. I think that its not just a problem with the City of Detroit alone ,but a symptom of the greater problem with our state, the loss of labor jobs that pay a living wage.

Both Flint and Detroit have been bad in areas for a long long time. Even when Michigan was booming and contained the wealthiest zip code areas in the US.

OMG what? Those photos are inconclusive at best. Some show improvement, some show deterioration.

When things were booming, at least the spending trickled down to other areas of the economy, helping to allow people to make a living wage. Im just saying the problem is not Detroits alone, everyone talks about how bad Detroit is, they forget about other cities.
