I recently sold my home. I have to be out by October 4th. I will not be able to close on a new home and move in that time frame. Does anyone have a good recomendation for moving my stuff into storage for some time while I find a new home?

Do you recommend
- Using PODS or Uhauls POD system?
- Just renting a Uhaul truck and getting self storage? (I'll have to rent the truck twice)
- Using a moving company that will bring their men and trucks, store, and then deliver?
- Recommendation on company to use?

I'm doing some research online and wondering what your experience has been and what you recommend. I'm young and doing a lot of heavy lifting is no issue for me, but I'm also looking to get the best bang for the buck and less stress.

Also, has anyone used PODS? Is the 16 footer enough space to hold the contents of a 3 bedroom home? Or would I need two?

If it's local, PODs might be a great option. When I was moving from Denver, storage and transportation of my property was going to be close to $1600, and that was one of their smallest PODs.

It's certainly pricier than Uhaul, but if it's local, it is probably worth checking into.

I agree that PODS would be a great way to go. You can pack up everything you need into the POD, and then if you need to they can take it to a storage facility, then when you buy your house, get it from the storage facility and have it delivered to your new house. This way is more time convenient as you can do it at your own pace.

Don't use Uhaul's POD system. I've heard bad, bad things, and recently.
