Jesus. I can see my blatant sarcasm is wasted on this crowd. . . . do I really need to add </sarcasm> tags?

Lol honestly, that would probably be best. It's hard to tell if someone is being sarcastic over the internet. Especially when you see some of the most ridiculous post on a regular basis.

Those very same or similar harebrained notions are expressed in all seriousness by certain elements of the right wing in the media and all over this forum, so forgive us if we assumed that could be the case here. If it is something similar to what might actually be heard in a Fox News "interview", one might have to use a sarcasm tag.

OK, I thought I'd interacted with most of you all enough that you should know I'm not that harebrained. In future, I will be sure to make my sarcasm more obvious. Carry on, as you were, nothing to see here.

Hate to admit it, but I often don't remember or take note of the authors of posts or their viewpoints.

I realize that the Vice President requires some extra protection that the average Joe does not, but it just seemed excessive. Like I said, there were about 30 police cars just sitting on overpasses. Not sure what their pupose was. If they were going to block off the overpasses while the VP's motorcade was passing, then perhaps he should not be driving through an area that is considered so dangerous that every overpass must be blocked off. Not to mention the irony of having to protect a politician who is apparently so well-loved by the impoverished people of Detroit. It also points out how disruptive these photo-ops are.

Several years ago when a certain utterly idiotic man was seated in the white house and he or the guy who really ran things (veep) came to town, I saw every entrance & exit ramp on I-96 in Livonia & Redford were closed and all of them had cops swarming on the ramps and the overpasses. I wish they had caught THAT thug before he got us into a war by LYING.

But his ilk is more "deserving" don't you know.
