If I remember correctly all they did is just park the car across the street in a lot.

I always hated valet'ing my car just because it was heavily modified and just turning it off and locking the doors without killing the battery before going back to it wasn't as simple as turning the key to off. That and it had like 2 inches of ground clearance so it scraped on everything if you weren't careful.

Knowing the clientele at Giovanni's, I'm sure the locals have been warned about the "nice car: would be a shame if something happend to it" routine--especially if you valet park it.

I stated this early on in the thread (see above). I'd also suggest Joe Muer, downtown Detroit. I haven't been to Tre Monti yet, but I hear that it is quite good...
