Cleveland, Ohio has a sizable Puerto Rican population. Probably smaller in raw numbers than Chicago, but possibly higher as a percentage of the share of local Hispanics than Chicago.

Ohio as a whole is only 1.9% Hispanic, Illinois is over 12%. In Cleveland and Chicago, the numbers are 10% and 28% respectively

Well at least we have a decently sizeable neighborhood in Detroit where Mexicans, if they don't predominate, are at the least the largest ethnic group. Those two vibrant sections of Vernor Highway are always a joy to cruise through, with all of the Mexican restaurants and other businesses. Western International High School is 60% Hispanic.

The Detroit area's Hispanic community is almost coterminous with Detroit's 48209 zip code. Minority concentrations are in Lincoln Park, Pontiac and Detroit's Warrendale neighborhood (M-39 and Ford Road).

Very few Puerto Ricans in this area. Most are from Mexico, furthermore the states of Jalisco and Michoacan in particular.

There are a few wealthier Hispanics scattered throughout nearly all of the suburbs. Many of these are 2nd and 3rd generation Americans and couldn't speak any Spanish if they tried.

Ah, but Detroit is still one of the most segregated cities in the frozen North. There are a few sprinkled around in the Grosse Pointes, but they cluster together more in Mexicantown (as the name might imply, eh?).
