I did a quick search and didn't see anything. If there is already I'll read that if someone posts it.
I've seen a commercial on TV for a cream for foot pain for those with Diabetes but can't recall the name. Anyone here know of a good product that does work on pain in the feet? Bedtime is usually my worst time and I might try one of these creams.
The husband has been given a couple of different creams by friends, one of them was Voltaren and others that were capsaicin or other warmth producing or analgesic types.
None of them were really very effective.
His best non-pharmaceutical relief comes from a heating pad ( or electric blanket ) and or microwavable slippers....IOW, keeping them nice and warm.
The more complete relief from the neuropathy pain is from Pregabalin (In his case,Lyrica)
That's odd regarding the heat. When I am in bed I have to leave my feet in the open to get cold. The colder they are the better they feel when I go under the covers. We keep our house pretty cool, much to my wife's chagrin at time, but it makes sleeping easier.
It might need to be mentioned that the best thing to do to prevent neuropathy or to help relieve it......if that is the cause of the foot pain.....is to get the diabetes under control.
They are expensive, but get Birkenstocks!!! My feet have improved 100 percent since I broke down and decided to try a pair. I wear them around the house with socks instead of slippers, and wear them out shopping or to the beach. I just bought my second pair at amazon dot com since I know my size now. They were cheaper and include free shipping and returns. It takes a little time to break them in, but I love that my feet don't hurt me all day like they used to.
My mother used a cream named Radiant massager which was very effective in relieving her foot and back pain. a cousin of mine bought it for her from an arab country so dont know if it is available here or not. Another cream that she used to use was voltaren, but that wasnt this much effective. Mum sometimes do the hot bottle heat therapy to relieve pain.
