Most animal foods contain some amount of vitamin B12, but by far, the best source is liver which should be eaten at least once a week. Many disorders of the nervous system result from vitamin B12 deficiency causing a myriad of illnesses and behaviors.
If you use Nexium or similar drug for acid stomach/reflux, it will block B12 along with calcium and magnesium that you ingest. So it's best not to use it too regularly--certainly not daily for long periods of time.
I don't know if you did a search or not but there are some Q's & A's about B12.
I am fatigued and the B12 pills were doing nothing. I began getting shots once a month for $8 at my doctors office and it does help but it wasn't a miracle thing for me.
There are good B12 pills and bad B12 pills.
I've been taking B12 for about a month and i'm not seeing any changes .
