Gunslinger, is regular milk or almond milk permissible for a diebetic diet?
When I'm really focused on healthy eating (with an eye toward carb and calorie reduction) I'll have a cup of hot milk with a bit of chocolate extract (NOT chocolate syrup) and my preferred sweetener (for me, that's Stevia).

I think it can be a mix of factors, for some people, that causes them to crave sweets. Some of it can be emotional.....a craving for pleasure through food, is most satisfying for some people when it is sweet. But I know for myself, when I eat certain non-sweet foods, I will soon have an odd, very strong craving to eat something sweet.......I believe this is mainly some sort of physical reaction to the non-sweet foods I ate.
