I learned pretty quickly that I could save money by purchasing a monitor when the strips for it are on sale.
I currently have 2 monitors. contour and contour next. I'm prepared to buy a 3rd monitor if I can find reasonably priced strips.
Today I shopped online for some strips and found 100 contour next strips at amazon for ~$23 but the same 100 count was on walmart for $250. That's not a typo..... $23 vs $250!
I'm not sure how the companies selling through each of those online stores can have such large disparities in pricing for essentially the same product.
My guess is that the strips might be close to expiration and they are on sale to get rid of them, but the last time I purchased strips like this, they still had more than 1 year before expiration, so I'm not sure why the pricing is so different.
If I don't get my DH's strips on Amazon then I get them from my brother (free) he works for a vey large Pharmaceutical co. He's a VP fo sales. he's offered. In fact he got me my DH's last meter.
