Just curious. I had gestational diabetes with both of my children.

I had gestational diabetes, and now at the age of 65 have developed the "real thing". It's annoying, but at least it's a controllable disease. Better this than something there's no hope for.

I was diagnosed with gestational with the first kid. Full blown before the 3rd. 5 years in between.

Had it with 1st, not the second, am now 49 (19 years after 1st) and no sign yet. Diabetes runs in the family.

I had it with my 2nd and last child. Then when she was about 18 mths hold I was told I had T2.

When I had it I was told the chances were very high I would get it later. I did at age 47.
