Asia has a lower cut off for OVERWEIGHT. It does not have a lower cut off for underweight.

I have just returned from a two week holiday in Mexico. The guests staying at my hotel were mostly American.

I have to say that I was amazed at the amount of food some Americans consumed at meal times, and throughout the day. When you practice that sort of gluttony it's no wonder America has an obesity problem.

Albion, if you will read my earlier post you will see that I said that she was shocked at how little we eat. Despite the fact that I'm overweight, I am not a glutton and I never go eat at restaurants that feature a buffet. I really do try hard to control the amount of sugar that I eat, but I suspect that I've messed up my metabolism by eating too many of them when I was younger and now I'm making an effort to get more veggies on the table.

I know it's fashionable to hate people from the US right now, but we're not all gluttons--after all, many of us, including myself, have a lot of English ancestry.

I'm just relaying what I actually saw stepka, It has nothing to do with hatred of Americans or ancestry.

There was a family from Chicago staying at the hotel, they were all obese, the mother was so fat she had to use a mobility scooter to travel around the hotel, and yet they seemed to never stop eating, nachos with cheese, popcorn, pizza etc.
Americans just seem to eat massive portions, I've been to the States, and huge portions in fast food restaurants seem to be the norm there.
