just got back from my workout and decided to swing by my favorite thai place (authentic thai, not americanized crap)
tom yum gai (lemongrass soup with mushrooms and chicken)
and then a beef salad with lime juice, cucumbers, tomatoes and carrots
healthy? am i rite?
NO. Thai food is not HEALTH food.
Tom Yum Gai - lots of salt. The best part about it is the chicken and the little wood type things you find in it which are used in some oriental medicine/herbal remedys
Larb Nua (beef salad) - Waaaaaaay too much salt.
If you ate at an "authentic" Thai place where they did not make it "Falang" style, then more than likely it was also "pet mak" which makes it "aroi mak" but all those spices and chili wreak havoc on your stomach.
Oh yeah, LaoTzu talk Thai, LaoTzu talk Thai good. So I KNOW what I am talking about here.
As Charles asked, HOW MUCH DID THIS COST YOU? Im sure you could have found healthier alternative for much cheaper

Lots of veggies, that can't hurt.
I would still watch portion size, and sodium.
