My weight is ballooning - Just can't seem to stick to a diet - Honestly the only time I have ever lost weight is by eating about 1200 cals per day. Current weight is 224 pounds, few years ago was 186 Pounds as a result of training very hard 3 times per week, and eating about 1200 cals per day, some days less than a 1000.
Last week I was on 1 meal per day with nothing else, held out for about 6 days then weekend was nice food, few beers, not a complete blowout but overdid it a little.
Anyway tommorrow is another day - I am going back to Fruit/veg with one meal per day I think its more sustainable than just one meal per day, one meal per day leaves you too weak to exercise.
I seem to drink lots of caffeine to suppress appetite, drink water liters of fizzy water per day, go to the gym about 2 - 3 times per week, and even used nicotine gum to assist with appetite suppression.

So let me get this straight. You -know- what works for you: eating around 1200 calories per day, and working out 3x per week.
So, instead, you're eating one meal per day plus random fruit and veggies, without counting calories at all, and pigging out on weekends with a few beers.
And you -know- that you've been ballooning out since you posted your OP in this thread - so in your infinite wisdom you're choosing to try something that you know won't help, and ignore something you know will work.

Everyone wants to find a short cut that still lets them continue to eat the junk. What are you eating for the one big meal you do eat? A bacon cheeseburger? You have to find something you can do forever. I don't think eating one meal a day is sustainable forever.

You don't want to stick to a lifestyle change...it's not a diet...it's a total change in your lifestyle.

Eating one meal a day isn't healthy nor is binging on the weekends because you can't/won't control yourself.
Go back to eating 1200 calories divided into 3 meals and 2 snacks and go to the gym everyday....lift weight 3 times a week but get in 30-45 mins of cardio a day.
lay off the nicotine gum unless you're actually trying to quit smoking.

You gain weight overnight, don't expect to lose weight overnight. Take it ONE day at a time...and stick to it.
