If you read the label you'll notice the old fashioned Coke in a bottle contains sucrose not HFCS. I bought one this morning actually. Not gonna drink a cheap, crappy plastic bottle of Coke filled with HFCS.

I think I have 1 "coke"/soda a week or every other week.

I mainly drink tea (no sugar) and water. Once in a great while a "sugary" tea like an Arnold Palmer.

I have a family history of Diabetes (both kinds) and so I'm really paranoid about this sort of stuff.

A nice cold coke with lunch after working outside on a hot summer day like today tastes so great! Especially in a frosty glass with lots of ice!

For good health? ZERO. There is NOTHING remotely good for you in that can.
Try sparkling water with lime.

That may be the case but there is still nothing healthy in it.
I enjoy a coke now and again too, especially mexican cokes in a bottle which are easy to find around here. Real sugar tastes so much better than hfcs.

A coke or two a day isn't going to hurt you.

Two cokes a day is a crapload of hfcs or sugar. Ick.
Not to mention all other chemicals.
Imagine how that adds up in a week, month... year!
The more sugar in your body, the less fat you'll burn.
Are we still in the diet and weightloss forum?

So what? Assuming the rest of your diet is sound, there is no reason to be worried.

All safe.

Not if you are still in a calorie deficit.

There is the equivilent of about 10 tsps of sugar in one can of Coke.
Picture putting that in any other single serving of something and decide for yourself.
