Most like a woman from Tanzania. I don't know I always considered myself a little overweight.

Thats odd. The standard BMI calculation for you should be 21.1, not 18. I wonder if they're using a different method.

Poster must of plugged in the info wrong. I am guessing they hit the "2" instead of "4" as a typo in the calculator.

The article does round off the bmi by standard math rules.

Where is Tonga? I'm going there! In Tonga I'd be HOT!

I'm average in Denmark it seems. I'm a cow if I go to Ethiopia.

I think the key to taking this test is to plug in the gender figure after you plug in your age, don't put it in at the end because it screws up the calculations.

Your numbers:

Obesity Index: 20bmi
BMI is an estimate of how "overweight" or "obese" a person is

National: Below average
You have a lower BMI than 92% of females aged 30-44 in your country

Global: Below average
You have a lower BMI than 74% of females aged 30-44 in the world

Did you know?
If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would remove 40,429,375 tonnes from the total weight of the world's population

You're most like someone from Sri Lanka*

I was shocked to find that I was BELOW the national average for my age as well. WOW. I'm about 25 pounds too "fluffy." That's crazy.

I lost 30 pounds with no change in exercise my eliminating wheat from my diet. I don't consume any food products containing dairy or soy either. Don't believe the USDA "healthy whole grains" propaganda. Modern wheat is an alien form of food that has been genetically modified. That, in combination with the introduction of high fructose corn syrup into the food chain starting in the 1970s is what started a whole host of other issues. I have convinced most people I know to follow the healthy starch, very low carb, fruits, vegetables, and lean meats approach. My starches of choice are potatoes, rice, and organic corn. I will have wraps mixed with vegetables and lean meats, and some gluten free bread options occasionally. I've never felt better.
