I've been eating clean the last 3.5 weeks. And doing well. I sometimes have 1 cheat or 2 cheat meals a week, but for the most part I eat clean. Then today I woke up feeling angry as h*** and I didn't know why. All of the sudden I start craving things that I haven't craved since I began clean eating--things like cookies, pumpkin bread, cake, french fries, pizza, Red Lobsters Cheese Biscuits etc, etc. And then I went to the mall today with a friend of mine, she purchased a cookie ice cream sandwhich and it really got to me, to the point where I had to walk away from her while she ate it. I felt and still feel very irritable and nothing can quench the cravings. Does anyone else get really bad cravings around PMS time--and do you succumb to them?
I get chocolate cravings during PMS pretty bad. I have learned to just go with them. I will give in just enough to satisfy the craving and then forget about it. After a day or two they are gone and I am back to normal. Sometimes I will crank up my workouts to compensate, sometimes I don't.
just get a small taste of what you are craving, or a healthier version of it. Instead of ice cream, get gellato. Instead of a tortilla wrap, use lettuce leaf to wrap your food, etc. Drink water, lots of water to fill you up.
