You don't keep "carbs under 20g." Induction involves eating exactly 20 NET carbs a day, 12-15 of which come from allowed veggies.
Have you read the latest Atkins book? It's actually quite specific and detailed. Again, it is not usually recommended to eat only 20 net carbs a day (net carbs, not Total carbs) for more than the first 2 weeks -- you should then move on to phase two where you learn your body's own carb tolerance. THEN you go into the maintenance phase when you are within about 5-10 pounds of goal.
Go the the Atkins website to learn more about the plan...you may well be doing your self a disservice.

There is some dispute about whether or not the current revised Atkins is better than the older version.
My understanding was that you should not EXCEED 20 net carbs a day but I did not know you had to nail it right at 20g . My carb intake is between 15 and 20g.
My Atkins food planner said "those that have significant weight to lose may want to stay in the induction phase longer". Since my goal is to lose 50lbs I thought I would keep in phase one for an additional week or two.
