I have seen people keep track of their weight loss by taking their pictures regularly. Is this a good way to track progress especially since the camera makes you look overweight? Isn't it demotivating? I dont recognize some people in pictures 'coz they seem to have a double chin or a bigger belly in pictures, when in reality they dont. I dont understand this.

Say Cheezzz

I think it can be easy to forget what you looked like before losing, 10, 15, 20 lbs because a lot of the differences can be subtle. Having a visual comparison would be a nice way to see just how far you've come without relying on the scale which doesn't always tell the whole story.

I have recently looked at some of my before pics. I was horrified.

I look thinner in photos than I look to myself. My height may have something to do with it. When I see my own body I am obviously looking down on it so it appears "shorter" and not as thin as when I see it from a 3rd person perspective.

I keep a picture of myself in my wallet from 2010 when I was at my heaviest and before I joined WW. It helps me to stay on plan so I don't gain that weight back. When I show it to my fellow WW members they cannot believe I was that heavy.
