Is anyone really surprised that this was a scam? I wasn't. A couple of years ago I read the ad online, and then I Googled "Acai Berry" to find that the claims were BS, and that people who bought this product and handed over their credit card numbers had an almost impossible task to try to stop the deliveries (and subsequent credit card charges!).
The scam itself doesn't bother me. People accepting false claims as truth bothers me! Since when did we become a nation of morons? Why don't we
question things anymore? The number of people who repost things on Facebook without even checking Snopes to see if these "facts" are true is astonishing. It's scary, because a nation of "sheeple" can be easily led wherever corrupt, more knowledgeable people want them to go.
