Has anyone lost weight but kept their same bra size? I hear so many women say that when they lost weight, they decreased in cup size. Is this true? My sister needs to lose about 50 pounds but is worried about loosing breast size. She was a 36C before she gained weight and is now a 38DD. Will she go back to a 36C?
Most of what's in your breasts is fatty tissue. Lose weight and you lose fat. Not only do your breasts get smaller, they also sag more. Loose skin, ugh!
Bad news first. Yes, she will lose fat
Good news. She will have enough loose skin if she loses a lot of weight that it will help fill up the bra. She'll look just about as good, it just won't be the same when she takes the bra off. She will probably be a 38 but, what size cup depends on weight lose.
They will feel differently too. Not nearly as firm.

I lost 45 lbs and didn't lose any breast tissue. However, if she was smaller before then she will probably lose them. I hope this isn't a reason for her to keep the weight on, if it is she has bigger issues to deal with before she'll be able to lose any weight. There are procedures for removing excess skin so it's not like she can't get those puppies put back up where they belong, lol!
Yeah, my boobs shrank the first time around I lost significant weight. I was much younger then so there wasn't much excess skin since your skin bounces right back when you're young ... it doesn't bounce back when you're pushing 30 though. Sniff sniff.
Recently, I lost 40 lbs and boobs shrank again. I actually wish I had "small boobs" so I see it as a good thing. Although the sagging sucks but once I get to a healthy weight I plan having surgery to get the excess skin off anyway. In the mean time, I try to find good bras!

I think keeping her wait down is more important then keeping the large breasts. Whenever you lose weight, your breasts and all parts of your body get smaller. If she wants to keep her breast large, I recommend a breast enhancement procedure.

I don't know. I've lost weight before, myself, but I think my breasts got fuller and rounder (I'm up to a C cup now; was a 36B before). But I did do a lot of upper body training too. So, that helps to keep them at a good size, I guess.
