I went to six weeks of physical therapy. I walk, use the elliptical, lift weights, ride my bike and I even went skiing last month. I never had any pain. The herniation was touching my sciatic nerve and I had a burning sensation from my buttocks down to my little toe in my right leg. I had to give up running, which really depressed me for quite some time. What I really want to do and no longer can do is ride rollercoasters. Ah, it's the little things in life. I had the steroid shot in my lower back and it didn't work.
