Hi everyone, I'm new in the exercise and fitness forum. I just started working out and trying to eat better this past Monday. So far, it only going alright.
I just received my outfit in the mail from my agent which I have to wear to an event I'm working at in January. Now I've taking a year off from working for this company and have put on a few pounds . Anyway, I need to fit into this outfit. I have exactly 7 weeks to fit into this outfit - but would like to accomplish this goal in 6 weeks. I'm thinking I need to lose at least 10 pounds.
Please help, with any suggestions!!!
Currently I'm only working out 3 days a week at the gym, alternating days with weights between upper body and lower body, and the treadmill ~ about 15 minutes.
Go vegetarian for 6 weeks. No meat, no cheese. Only milk and soy. Do 3 30-minute cardio sessions and 2 weight training sessions throughout the week. Drink a ton of water.
You also need to drastically increase the cardio. 15 minutes isn't going to do much. I would try something like a spin class that is high calorie burning, more like 5-7 times a week. 10 pounds is 6 weeks is also quite a bit (depending on how much you weigh). You could even consult a trainer at a gym to see if this is realistic for your body weight. You don't want to do this in an unhealthy way.
I lost 45 pounds in 3 months by going Vegan (that means, drop the milk too) - and since you seem to be a female (Lord help you if you're a guy doing the "form-fitting" dress), the soy is not a bad idea - bad for men, great for women (Tempeh is okay for guys).
It's always the same story - cut calories and increase the cardio ... but you have to cut the calories - below 600/700 a day.
I've got another idea as well. Send the dress back and get the next size up, do the cardio and trim-up what you've got.
We've already got a whole generation or two full of women who ruined their health shrinking to fit into their Saturday-night jeans ... we don't need another.
Drink plenty of water. It will reduce some of your cravings and hunger. At least a gallon a day.
Eat smaller portions. Ditch soda completely, even if it is diet. Watch out for high fructose corn syrup too.
Eat plenty of vegetables.
