Went to St Petersburg, Russia in 1994.

Were told we could shower in the hotel showers, but to not drink any water anywhere at any time...and to use bottled water to brush our teeth.

Well, one dude decided he wasn't going to bother with all that...he lost 10 pounds in five days...then met some new friends at the hospital (good thing we brought our own needles).

You can do it...it just won't be fun.

Try a juice fast. You can lose about 15 pounds in 4 days if you fast on veggie juice that you make yourself. It can't be store bought. You can't have any caffeine or alcohol either. Tons of water, herbal decaf tea and lots of juice from your own juicer. Google it.

If you are morbidly obese and go on a severe calorie restriction and exercise like h_ll several times a day - yes. They show it all the time on "the Biggest Loser". In real life - it's not gonna happen unless it is all water weight; in which case you'll feel like h_ll from the dehydration and will gain it all back. So what's the point?

It's possible, if you eat very few calories, but it's not healthy and when you do start eating the calories again you will gain it back. Been there done that. Why not do it the healthy way....slow. 1 to 2 pounds a week.

And bowel weight if you empty the bowel. That doesn't last either.

If you're going to do it, then at least try to get on a healthier plan after a week or so. How much do you have to lose? If it's a lot, then losing 10 lbs fast isn't a bad idea at all, to kickstart your motivation. Low carbing is the fastest way for me and if you have a lot of weight to lose, then I think you could lose 10 lbs in the first week of induction.

You could also look into the cabbage soup diet--at least that's semi-healthy, with all the vegs and fruits. Or, there is the one a lot of football players and wrestlers use to make weight (I'm probably saying that wrong and making a fool of myself) for the season, and it's like a 3 day, lose 10 lbs diet where you eat like tuna w/ no mayo, beets, and a cup of ice cream for supper--the mayo clinic diet maybe? I remember I choked my way thru that once and didn't cheat once, only to lose maybe 2 lbs and it was back the next week. Never again for that one, but I know plenty of men who swear by it.

Can you do it? Yes, although it will be mostly water weight with only a pound or two being actual fat loss. Is it healthy? Generally speaking, no.
