Here's a tidbit....

a fastidious weight-lifter who was NOT obese or overweight decided to try the approach and lift weight in the morning on an empty stomach. He was fifty years old.

after a couple weeks he reported that he was GAINING strength on the approach, and his recovery time from a hard session was what it had been twenty years previously.

it's all in Hagan's "Breakfast:The least important meal of the day" in the freebie pages

now, as a savy weight-lifter, you should be able to tell me my WHY that was happening

Join myfitnesspal.com and plug in your values and desired outcomes and stay within the daily consumption values provided for your unique profile. You will lose weight. Several ladies at work did. I used it when cutting last summer and still use it for the discipline factor.

LOL.

So juvenile.

I am concerned with people with real problems with weight who are facing REAL medical problems if they continue on being obese.

No one HAS to be obese, or even overweight.

Good luck with your buffing.

And Hagan does devote a section as to why EVERY weightlifter should lift in the morning- and on an empty stomach. It has to deal with GH, cortisol, and insulin.

So it should interest you.

No one benefits from a morning meal.

Convince me otherwise.

The go-to person on working out fasted (Martin Berkhan) suggests that people supplement with 10-15g's of BCAA's before a fasted workout. The benefits with regards to protein synthesis are clear.
