I started a DietBet challenge on Sept. 1. I had a great whoosh going in to the first week and lost half of my goal, 3.8. Now I'm stuck, and I have 8 days to go and have to lose 3.4. Any suggestions? Besides patience and crossing my fingers?

People always lose more weight in the beginning of a calorie deficit. Google glycogen and you will see why.

If you get desperate, people on Mark's Daily Apple have had success with the "potato hack." I tried it and lost 5 pounds. They pounds won't stay off though; it would just be a way to win your bet... At least that was my experience.

Thanks Nikita! I am so close, I weighed in naked today and I'm at my goal. But I have to weigh in with clothes on, and my clothes weigh about 1.5 lbs. :/

Won't that help you to lose weight? I know most women (although not me) tend to lose a pound or two. Personally, I'd trade with you' I'm 8 days late!

I'll let you know tomorrow.....so far, it added less than a pound, and then I went down 1.2 since yesterday, but now have to go down .8 by tomorrow.

And gee like I need more stress, the digital scale is giving me different readings. I just have to hope and pray its wonkiness goes in my favor tomorrow! I cannot wait until this thing is over!!!
