Insulin is also an anabolic hormone, so elevated insulin levels ( post workout) can aid muscle growth. Many pro bodybuilders who are non-diabetic inject themselves regularly with insulin to help muscle gains. Temporarily spiking insulin levels after a hard workout might be advantageous for those trying to build muscle. But one still needs to be in a caloric surplus to gain muscle mass.

I was under the assumption that the OP wanted to lose fat. I could be wrong. Hopefully, the OP will chime back in on this subject. At any rate even though insulin is anabolic it still increases fat storge.
