Hello I had the gastric sleeve in June 2015 and i lost over 100 lbs but my weight is at a stand still is there any one else that took alli after having that surgery cause my doc said I can take it but My question is you suppose to take the med after your meal but having the surgery we have to wait 30 min to drink how will that work
I lost a large amount of weight fast, but didn't have surgery. I had problems with feeling very cold, hair falling out, and anxiety, which I've heard are all common with people who've had the surgery. My doctor said it was because fat stores hormones and when you lose weight, those all end up in your bloodstream for a while.
I actually had to stop for a while because the anxiety got to be too much to deal with. Now I feel like I've evened out enough that I can start on the second half.
I lost about 30 lbs pretty fast in the 3 rehabs I was in due to knee issue and loss of appetite due to pain drugs and probably abx drugs too. I still lose hair and still feel cold or chilly and it's in 80's today here in SM. Never thought about this coldness and weight loss. I don't want to put the weight back on for sure as it's better all round to have it gone, for joints for sure.

The coldness is a pain. However I would rather be less weight and cold, than obese and warm.

Yep, it's easy to put a long sleeve shirt on when it's 80 today. I just put my shirt back on. Most of the weight came off my chest and arms and the hanging skin is not pretty, but I don't care no one sees it but me.
I let myself get a little heavy with retirement and thought it was OK...it wasn't.
