I have a decent meal for breakfast. Eggs, and a carbohydrate. And some coffee. Total around 550-650 calories. Then a smaller lunch. Protein-as in a sandwich of some sorts.
Dinner, I cook whatever for my husband and myself...me just having a single serving of whatever I cooked.
I even squeeze in a dessert once in a while. I still lose weight. I don't even care if I am at plateau for now.....at least I can wear jeans and regular clothing off the rack at the Goodwill store. My panties size went down 2x..maybe 3. My knees and feet don't hurt near as much anymore. My blood sugar is better managed being at this lower weight.
If I try to eat just a carbo for breakfast....like toast and coffee...or just a bowl of cereal....it messes with my blood sugar all day long. Then I binge.
I also added fats and oils...like..real unsalted butter, for breakfast every day. And I will eat some bacon or sausage on the weekends when my husbands wants his He-man breakfast. I just count the calories/fats/carbs/sodium. If I eat way too much for a Weekend breakfast...the rest of the day is just very light snacking.

Now this all sounds DO-able! Breakfast: fried egg on rye Lunch: salad with nuts and cheese Dinner: chicken with veggies snack: coffee w/creamer. This I can do.

And IF intrigues me as well, I really think I could actually do it if I set my mind to it and planned it and all that jazz. I am so close to breaking through the 160 barrier, I can taste it! So I should definitely do that very soon!

I decided a long time ago, that if I was going to work on losing weight.....it would have to be using REAL food. Food that tastes good, and has nutritional value. For me, I have found out that it is more about limiting my calories, not eating heavy for the late meal, and using my calories wisely.
I tried Slimfast one time. 20 or so years ago. That lasted 2 days. That's when I decided to use those Slimfast calories exchanged for real food calories.
