So I'm down about 12 pounds at this point in one month. Not losing super-fast, but I figure slow and steady isn't a bad thing. I also haven't added an exercise component yet since I was sick and recovering for 3 weeks. But I've found that there are certain foods that just rescue me when I'm about to give up.
So far it's been :
-Clementines when I need something sweet.
-Organic hot dogs when I feel the need for some fast protein (cook up fast)
-Belgioso (sp?) mozzarella balls when I'm wanting a little fat (they sell bags of these little packages that each have 3 little mozzarella balls packed in plastic - totally hits the spot)
-Smoothies - my current fave includes vanilla whey powder, tropical fruit blend (mangoes/strawberries/pineapples), vanilla paste (not extract), chia seeds, greek yogurt, honey, a squeeze of lime and as much spinach that will fit into the remainder of the cannister (using a Magic Bullet blender).
I've also been making these crockpot chicken burrito bowls with brown instant rice, chicken breasts, chopped chipotles, roasted corn, chiles, a jar of salsa or tomatoes, a bunch of spices and a Mexican cheese blend. I freeze them in 1-cup containers, and they've really been very satisfying.
I was on Let's Make a Deal once, and I didn't get called to compete or anything. However, in the closing credits I won twenty five dollars because I had a hard boiled egg in my pocket. Does that count?
Nice job JZ. I am off sugar too (I think that is what you are doing). Sometimes I get urges like I am going to say screw it. I will eat a few raw almonds or take a shot off the olive oil bottle in an emergency. If I have a tin of smoked oysters that seems to do the trick.
I am down about 17 lbs in 5 weeks. The first two weeks I seemed to lose about 10 or so and it's been a steady 2lbs a week since.
Edit: There is also this thing called coconut cream that comes in a can. If I take a cup of coffee or teas and throw in the cream, cinnamon, and some vanilla extract it distracts me from wanting something sweet.
Frying up some prawns in olive oil with coconut flakes, ginger, fresh plums, and fresh pineapple is also pretty damn good.

I'm not giving up sugar ENTIRELY, but I've cut out dessert/candy, pasta and pizza entirely. And almost all bread, except for when I have a fast-food sandwich out. There's a lot of sugar in fast food, particularly the rolls. But I'm having that only occasionally. A little honey in my smoothies. And that's about it.
Definitely going to try that thing with coconut cream, cinnamon and vanilla extract. Have you tried vanilla paste though? I love it - no alcohol taste to it.

Nice! You are definitely on the path to success with this. As far as buns go for when I have burgers, I get my burgers wrapped in lettuce instead of buns. They do this at both In-N-Out Burger and Habit Burger which are two of the three burger places I eat (about once a month).
For your honey, try raw organic buckwheat honey. Its PRICEY but its really really good. Not that fake honey that most supermarkets sell.
As far as "rescue" foods go, I dont really have any because I've gotten so used to eating right, I dont really have any cravings for bad food. If I see something on TV or a picture on facebook feed I may say "OMG that looks so good" but since I dont keep any bad stuff in the house, that craving passes and Im good.
Surprising how well how Walnuts/Pickle or Walnut/Olives cure my sweet or salty urge.
Chicken Wieners for a quick hit of protein.
