I'm male, 53 yrs age, height 5'4" and currently 165 lbs. Have looked up ideal body weight for my height and I'm seeing 135 lbs. I don't think I would feel right going that low. Need some advise on what would be a healthy weight for me. Thanks.
It depends on your body type also. Do you consider yourself flabby, muscular, etc? 165 sounds a little high for your height, but without seeing you, it's just speculation. I'm 5'10" 160 lbs, and it's perfect for me.
Body fat % is what you want to measure Avg male is 18-24% there are multiple ways to measure it most accurate is hydro static weighing, or calipers both I have seen used at GYM's
