Isn't there a conflict between 3 and 4?

What reduced my belly fat is eating less calories overall and burning more. Carbs had little to do with it, except for potential water bloat if one eats too much of them in one sitting.

Millie please combine your health loss tips in one thread. This is getting tedious. Plus you cannot spot reduce. The weight comes off where your body wants it to come off, period.

Yup, not to mention all of them have nothing to do with belly fat. The only way to lose belly fat (specifically) is liposuction. Otherwise you just need to lose fat. None of which those five things really have anything to do with. It's all about calories in versus calories out when it comes to fat loss. Eating more protein won't help unless you add 200 calories of protein unless you offset it by eating more than 200 calories less of carbs/fats. Not drinking soda and replacing it with some other calories won't help. Not drinking soda and not replacing the calories will help because less calories.

my gut goes last. What I mean by that is when my abs just start showing, it's when the veins are popping out of my arms. spot reduction is a myth.

People are not going to believe me, didn't believe me last time, but I am telling the truth.

As I got older, I got a belly. Here was my shape up until last October or so:
Skinniest part of my waist, just below my rib cage, 27 inches. I can't pinch a millimeter there. It is bones. I could not lose weight there, because I have no fat. (I am quite tall, and maybe not the most attractive woman in the universe, and my frame is bony.)

Biggest part of my hips, around my butt, is 39 inches, to 40 inches, hasn't really changed since high school.

Below my belly button, I had a gut--about 38-39 inches. (didn't have that in high school)

I heard Dr. Axe on public television say the accumulation of fat around my gut is A. dangerous B. caused by inflammation C. caused by leaky gut. He recommended bone broth.

I tried the bone broth. The gut is now about 35 inches, and it looks much better. It looks almost flat. I am not a shill for Dr. Axe. I just have to say, this did work.

Put a tape measure around your waist and pull it out three-four inches, and you can see the size of the gut I lost. It is quite dramatic.

Bone both is not easy to make, despite the claims of the advocates. However, this did work for me. February now, and the gut has stabilized at about 35 inches, sometimes 36, but it looks flat. Quite dramatic, I am very pleased.
