Exercise is not necessary for weight loss just like having a pillow is not necessary to sleep.
You don't need it, but it makes things easier.
Fat doesn't go away and stay away easily, you really need to attack it with 3 angles: diet, cardio, and strength training.
Now if you have all day to lose weight fine, but most people want to lose weight as soon as possible and that involves GYM. The people on instagram who I've seen lose massive weight always did cardio/gym. It made things so much easier.

YES. Exercise has made my body look far better. I didn't want to just lose weight. I wanted to be FIT. I wanted definition. I don't have the perfect body by any stretch but I've worked very hard for what I've got.
Nope, exercise is absolutely not necessary for weight loss. its a numbers game. calories in vs calories burned for the day. if you know your body's BMI and eat less calories than your body naturally burns then you'll be in a caloric deficit equaling weight loss
Weight loss can be achieved without exercise (think of a wasting disease).
{Once I had an over-active thyroid from an infection and weight dropped off without any effort...of course, I had tremors and couldn't sleep until my thyroid problem was corrected...}.
But weight loss without exercise results in a flabby, weak body, imho.
I like what exercise does for my feeling of well-being, posture, strength, de-stressing, and endorphin high. Our bodies were developed for exercise...
I find exercise to be a key part of weight management and at the end of the day, it's one thing to lose weight it's another to keep it off.
Little Dolphin is correct, you can lose without it, but you'll be flabby, saggy and weak whereas (thanks to exercise, specifically weights) I'm stronger and firm. Personally you just look better.
I can't afford to be sedentary, not with my issues.
Appropriate exercising is a real game changer. And body changer. You can lose weight without exercising but you'll feel and look a whole lot better WITH exercise. And I haven't even really hit on the health benefits.
Stay active. Sweat. Stretch. Get dirty. Slather on the sunscreen and get outside and walk, run, bicycle, play tennis, swim, do tai chi or yoga, you name it. DO SOMETHING every day. You will feel better, look better, and sleep better.
Yoga is another best option that can help you to reduce the fat stored in your body. The best thing to opt yoga is, it doesn't make you feel exhausted. Yoga has some special quality that it can help you to reduce fat from any part of your body like face, shoulders, arms, thighs, or hips. You can perform only that kind of asanas what you needed. i believe in "Yogic yoga in weight loss".
Can you tell us what that 'special quality' is? Because without a doubt this is false information.
