I didn't realize how much weight I had put on after retirement, going to my bridge functions and enjoying all the good snacks. While recently in hospital/rehabs and due to drugs side effects I could not eat much and found I was losing weight. Took off about 30 lbs and now working to keep it off...not playing bridge at this point and NO bread brought into this house and hardly any sugars/cabs in general. Veggies, protein and water. I don't own a scale so never weigh myself. This is working for me...exercise is so mild for me now with advancing arthritis.
I've been using the 5/2 plan for 15+ years, long before it became popular. I eat whatever I want 5 days a week and fast the other 2 days (not consecutive days). It's easier for me to fast totally on any given day rather than count calories.
