Just wondering, my significant other, had her place broken into with a crowbar, while she was sleeping, while they took just a flat screen, Play Station that was over 7 years old and her car keys (but didn't take the car), it's left her a near mess.
She went ahead and posted flyers about this to her neighbors in the same building (but not the whole complex). It lead to a tip which could lead to an arrest soon.
Of course, she wants to break the lease 1 month early.
However, it doesn't look like the complex is going to play nice and compassionate. Futhermore, they scolded her, for leaving the flyers on doors saying it's a "serious breach of the rental agreement".
Of course if she left flyers on doors for a pizza coupon, they probably don't even mention anything and maybe just give a friendly reminder.
Anyone actually have this happen to them? Was the landlord understanding, or just said, basically, too bad, so sad?
