I'm currently in the midst of trrying to lose weight and I'm down about 5 pounds, I'd say I have another 15-20 to go. Most of it is in the belly, I have that skinny fat look. My diet of actual food is fine, chicken/eggs/tuna/whole wheat bread/orange/apples/broccoli/pinto beans/mashed potatoes.
My issue is I like getting a starbucks grande iced coffee unsweetened and putting a little whole milk and 2 pink packets in it. This is low in calories but for some reason I don't get hungry for another 5-6 hours after I have it. It suppresses my morning appetite. Is this inhibiting my ability to lose weight because without breakfast my metabolism isn't getting going? The coffee seems to bloat me as well but when I look at the nutritional guidelines on it, it doesn't seem like the worst thing for you.
Should I just cut this out? It's really the only non-healthy thing I have but it does seem to be setting me back.

Since its been a year and you seem to have changed nothing (including your morning drink), maybe you should start looking at other ways to lose weight. Avoid the sweet and low.
Also, Im just curious that you took a year off of CD, then all of a sudden post 5-6 threads all one minute apart. Like a bot that just got rebooted.
Tracking calories was the only way I could lose weight. Use an app like myfitnesspal or cronometer. Measure everything you put in your mouth. No cheating! Weigh yourself once per week. Track your calories verses your weight. I found out that I need to eat less than 1800 calories per day to lose weight. That was much lower than I expected and shed light on the reason I was overweight. My metabolism is slow.
I have lost 35lbs since keeping track of my calories. I went form 241 lbs to 204 currently. I realized that I was eating a lot more than I thought. If you are serious about losing weight, I think this is the best way. It is vital to be accurate, get yourself a small scale from amazon that you can weight food. If you're not accurate, you might as well not keep track.

This is not inhibiting your ability to lose weight. Its great that it also suppresses your appetite. If they have Stevia use that instead, but its not that big of a deal. You obviously enjoy these and that is a good thing when you are losing weight - to have something that you look forward to.
I bought my own stevia yesterday actually. I'm gonna start bringing that there. Is it really that much better than the sweet and low.
It's just weird to me it suppresses my appetite completely for the first 1/3rd of the day. It isn't like some big shake or some drink loaded up with creams and sugars.
Honestly, I enjoyed a Dunkin' Donuts large coffee 3-4 times per week, extra cream using half/half, and lost 70 pounds in five months. Even if you were adding a small hill's worth of sugar I doubt your morning indulgence is affecting your weight loss results.
And I find that when I load up on water early in the day I'm not hungry until lunchtime. That's why I'm usually 48 ounces into hydrating before I even get to the office most mornings. I'm assuming similar physics would explain your situation.
OP, coffee can be an appetite suppressant. Wine can be too. So is a big glass of water before every meal. I can't see the harm in the coffee, but you really ought to research Sweet N Low (or it's equivalent, typically in the pink packets) if you're health conscious.
Stevia is a more natural sweetener but it can have a bitter taste or aftertaste to it. Real sugar is fat free and only 20 calories per teaspoon, just for the record.
I wouldn't recommend drinking wine in the morning though - LOL!
