Interesting reading of recent study. Adding more fiber in your diet by adding whole grains and other fiber rich fruits and vegetables reduces risks of diseases and death.

Totally agree. Lots of studies coming out on the long term use of diets like keto, and definitely doesn't look good.

I think Keto has its place among the diabetic and the obese. I don't think it is a particularly healthy way to eat in the long term however.

I regularly eat at least 25g of fiber. because I do, I don't have any bathroom or digestive issues. Easy in, easy out. Meanwhile if I am eating a diet heavy in meat and fat, my stomach is constantly gurgling, etc.

Why do you think it's unhealthy?

Studies have been coming out showing it is unhealthy long term, which to me, seemed like it would be obvious. Too many micro nutrients needed for optimal health found in fruits, veggies and whole grains.

Personally, the two times I did keto my immune system surged with RA, and it took me awhile to get it calmed back down. Everyone IS different, and for some it may be fine, even over the long run, but not for the majority.
