Eat less and your body will get healthier each day. Our ancestors gave us the ability to not have to eat for days and we are doing more harm than good eating 3 meals a day. I'm doing 1-1.5 meals a day. You don't need breakfast at all. For lunch I have a salad or drink home made bone broth(beef cones are plentiful) and eat a good size dinner. My weight drops the next day and you feel more energy when your body is not over worked digesting food. This pandemic is a wake up call for Americans to get healthier.
There's a bit of a meat shortage at my neighborhood grocer. Thankfully, I had no qualms reducing my meat intake and eating more beans and rice (yum yum)...though sadly there's also a rice shortage.
I've been on a diet since the beginning of the year and have lost 30#. I lose about 2#/wk. No restaurants, no pizza, pretty much oatmeal and a greek yoghurt for breakfast, pasta with light marinara sauce for lunch, and grilled chicken sometimes with rice for dinner with some grapes or an orange for a snack plus vigorous treadmilling and cycling when the weather allows.
I've been having trouble getting chicken and oatmeal since the covid19 crisis. I made a turkey yesterday and bought some leg thigh quarters from the produce store (on sale) Normally I buy whole chickens. Managed to buy 2 cylinders of oatmeal so I should be ok for a few weeks.
yes Aldi had some frozen turkey's on sale for $0.59/lb. I usually buy whole chickens and quarter them and make them on my grill and give the organ meat to the dogs. As I said I have been having difficulty finding whole chickens, but the local produce store usually has drumsticks or leg/thigh quarters on sale.

I tend to agree w/ this too.
Again, I'm sure most of us can stand skipping a meal or two here & there in general anyway (NOT just during this covid-19 just because food is scarce). It's all in the mind that tells us we're hungry. If we learn to get used to fighting that urge sometimes, we probably won't regret it!
